B4P Partnership presented by ECTP @ EUSEW 2021
Alain Zarli, ECTP Secretary General, has presented the Built4People (B4P) Partnership during the session Research for policy: Energy efficiency and sustainable building organised within EUSEW on 27 October 2021.
This has been the opportunity to introduce to the Built4People vision which is to enable the development and generalisation in Europe of a high quality, low carbon, energy and resource efficient built environment. Built4People shall drive the transition towards sustainability, stimulate the production and delivery on the market of holistic innovations and enable to meet the long-term goals set by the European Green Deal, while supporting a long-lasting transformation and user-centric behavioural change in the Construction and Built environment communities.
Alain Zarli introduced to the main 7 specific objectives of the Built4People Partnership, as the main pillars to generate holistic innovation towards sustainability, increase competitiveness of the sector by valorising green businesses , and induce lasting behavioral change towards sustainability, with a vision towards the generalization of a people-centric innovation in the built environment driving the transition towards sustainable society and economy.
Eventually he reminded the benefits of being involved in this initiative, with the opportunity of networking at the heart of EU R&I in Construction & the Built environment and fostering on collaboration at European level, and contributing to setting the agenda and thematic priorities as well as the future Built4People calls to be launched in the context of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
