FREE ONLINE training course: Renovation and thermal modernization of historic buildings in times of climate crisis
The Croatia Green Building Council invites you to join our FREE ONLINE training course: "Renovation and thermal modernization of historic buildings in times of climate crisis", organized alongside Sendzimir Foundation.
The online training will take place between October 4th – November 7th, 2021 and it will be in English.
The e-learning stage is accompanied by 4 live webinars. Before each webinar, participants will receive a Zoom invitation to join. The dates and topics are as follows:
- 4th October - 10.00 - 10.40 CET "Course and Online Platform Introduction"
- 11th October - 10.00 - 12.10 CET "Cultural Heritage and earthquake challenges"
- 19th October - 15.00 - 16.00 CET "A Living Future for our Past. Historical building regeneration through the Living Building Challenge" (co-organized by Living Future Europe)
- 3rd November - 10.00 - 11.00 CET "Possible solutions, sustainable Construction – a holistic approach"
The aim is to bring as many experts and layman as possible to exchange ideas on how to renovate and modernize historic and cultural heritage buildings in order to increase their energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
Throughout this training course, possible solutions to adapt the historic buildings to climate change and mitigate its consequences by reducing energy consumption will be presented.
It will cover the following intervention points (choice of technology and materials): foundations and basements, ceilings, external and internal insulation, woodwork, heating systems, ventilation, harvesting energy and roof. The possible nature-based solutions will be also discussed in regards to the historic buildings.
