Great success of the CIB W78 2021 Scientific Conference organised by LIST and ECTP
The CIB W78 2021 scientific conference (organized in conjunction with the LDAC 2021 Workshop) took place over five days, from October 11 to 15, 2021 in Luxembourg, and brought together 120 participants from around twenty different countries, as well as 130 participants online. Organized by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in collaboration with Cardiff University and ECTP, this conference gathered an international community of researchers and professionals around themes related to digitization of construction, BIM, digital platforms, digital twins and knowledge management in the building industry.
During this conference, five internationally renowned guest speakers achieved insightful keynotes, along with presentations from 96 authors of scientific papers in various fields including Digital Twins, digital tools and applications for energy, the environment and the circular economy, the implementation of BIM in practice, robotics, or Artificial Intelligence. Two workshops were organized by ECTP, taking stock of several European innovation projects in "BIM and renovation", "digital twins for construction", and skills for BIM players.
