Horizon Europe Work Programme 2021-2022 for EU Missions published
The European Commission has adopted the amended version of the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2021-2022 for the five EU missions.
The total budget of the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2021-2022 has increased to €15.4 billion. Out of this increase, €673 million will be dedicated to EU Missions, while €50 million will be dedicated to climate, energy and mobility actions. As a result of the budget increase, 19 new calls dedicated to the roll-out of the five EU Missions have been launched.
ECTP is mainly concerned by the 2 following EU missions:
- 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030
- Adaptation to Climate Change: support at least 150 European regions and communities to become climate resilient by 2030.
Two new calls will contribute to the implementation of the Climate-neutral and Smart Cities Mission by providing support to cities to achieve climate neutrality. Actions under these calls will cover a wide range of subjects such as urban planning and design for climate-neutral cities, sustainable urban mobility, positive and clean energy districts.
The first call will be open 11 January 2022 – 26 April 2022, with an overall indicative budget of EUR 117 million. The second call will be open 28 April 2022 – 6 September 2022, with an indicative budget of EUR 42 million.
All the call topics can be retrieved on the Funding & tender portal, with a selection available per mission.
