ECTP has the pleasure to welcome another Applicant organisation, IFMA EMEA, which membership will be formally endorsed by the next ECTP General Assembly.

IFMA is the world's largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals, supporting more than 23,000 members in over 100 countries. The association's members are represented in 142 chapters, 16 councils, and 6 communities worldwide, of which 12 chapters are located in Europe.

Formed in 1980, IFMA certifies  professionals in  facility management, conducts research and provides educational programs.

ln the EU, IFMA has 9 chapters and is engaging in Brussels with EU decision-makers from the European Commission, European Parliament and Member States on:

• Green buildings: all Green Deal-related policies that affect the built environment and the workforce within the built environment, including the Energy performance of buildings Directive, Level(s).
• Smart buildings: all policies that help make buildings smart, and the building workforce smarter e.g. Smart Readiness lndicator Regulation.
• COVID-19 and the impact on the workplace:  all initiatives i.e. studies, reports, policy recommendations by EU agencies to the EU Commission on how to allow the workforce to return safely to the workplace during and post-COVID 19.
