SmartBuilt4EU workshop "Innovations for Upgrading the Smartness of Buildings" at SP2022 Conference
Last September 8, the project SmartBuilt4EU led the workshop “Innovations for Upgrading the Smartness of Buildings” during the 10th edition of Sustainable Places Conference in Nice, France.
More than 70 people attended onsite and online to the workshop co-chaired by Karine Laffont (DOWEL Innovation) and Nerea Gómez (ECTP), which counted with an opening by Pierre-Antoine Vernon from CINEA on behalf of the European Commission.
Firstly, it was proposed a status update on the testing and implementation of the SRI indicator across Europe, with an outline of the supporting framework and activities provided by the SmartBuilt4EU project. The open task forces were also presented, a group of interested stakeholders investigating the key issues and trends related to smart buildings and identify state of the art, best practices, barriers, challenges and opportunities to support their uptake. The result of these task forces take shape through the white papers, which address those challenges and propose recommendations of solutions to progress on the smart buildings sector. These white papers can be found on SB4EU website.
Then, the presentations from the several EU-supported Innovation projects took place in two sessions, followed by a panel discussion.
