ECTP is pleased to invite you to the sixth webinar of the Zero-Emission Buildings Academy launched in partnership with BPIE (Buildings Performance Institute Europe) and ECI (European Copper Institute): CO-DESIGNING SEISMIC AND ENERGY RENOVATION PLANS WITH STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS: EXPERIENCE FROM CATANIA AND TIMISOARA.

Nearly 50% of the European territory is earthquake-prone, posing serious safety risks to the building stock. In seismic countries energy renovation actions should be combined with seismic retrofitting. Providing technical solutions and implementation protocols, new business models and financial tools, engagement and training of a wide variety of actors, the e-SAFE project is taking an innovative approach to deep energy and seismic building renovation. Since 2021, e-SAFE has embarked on a unique participatory process, co-designing a renovation plan together with the students and residents of two pilot buildings: a high school in Timisoara and a multifamily building in Catania.

This webinar will share the benefits of involving end-users, as well as the lessons learned from this co-design approach.
